Pastor Duane Roth - Vennard College

About Me

Thanks for visiting my Website!

As you can see by the picture, one of the great pleasures of my life is time spent with my wife, Sandi, camping in the high mountain country of Eastern Oregon. As native Oregonians, we try to spend time each summer camping at our favorite spot, Buck Springs Campground, near Burns, Oregon.

I have been serving the Lord at Vennard College since July, 2006. Prior to serving at Vennard I served as pastor of Bethel Mennonite Church in Wayland, Iowa;  New Hope Church in Lebanon, Oregon, and teaching pastor at Logsden Neighborhood Church near Logsden, Oregon. My academic achievements include a bachelor's degree in pastoral ministries and bible & theology from Vennard College, and a master's degree in theological studies from Northwest Graduate School. I am currently working on a doctor of ministry degree from Bakke Graduate University.

My wife, Sandi, serves as Dean of Women at Vennard College and also works as a library assistant. She enjoys baking, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family. She is a wonderful helpmate in ministry and has been a constant source of strength and encouragement to me throughout my ministry years.

We have two children: Ryan (25), who works for Benton County as an adult parole and probation officer in Corvallis, Oregon; and Rachelle (20), who works at the Children's Farm Home in Corvallis, Oregon. We also have a wonderful daughter-in-law, Kiva (25).

Besides camping, my hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golfing. I love the outdoors and the solitude it provides following seasons of active ministry. Truly, that is where I go for times of refreshment and personal renewal.
