Mrs. Coleman's Techies

About Mrs. Coleman

Mrs.Welcome to a World of Technology!

My name is Mrs. Sesily Coleman, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Technology Instructor for both the Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy and The B.E.S.T. Academy at Benjamin S. Carson.

I am a 8 year teaching veteran that hails from New Orleans, Louisiana.  I earned my Bachelors of Arts degree from Southern University at New Orleans in the area of Mass Communications (my focus was Print Journalism). I went on to earn my Masters of Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachuttes in Technology in Education.  I have recently been accepted into the Ed.S. program, also at Lesley University, which begins January 2008.

I have worked diligently in Orleans and Jefferson Parish Schools (Louisiana), Hillsborough County Schools (Tampa, Florida), and Atlanta Public Schools.  I am married to Antonio K. Coleman, Sr. (also a teacher in Atlanta Public Schools) and I am the mother of Colbie  and Antonio Kalvari Coleman, Jr.

I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The New Orleans Association of Black Journalists.  I love shopping (particularly for shoes, jeans, handbags, and MAC make-up) and working out at the gym!!!

Technology and design are my passions!  I am always in pursuit of learning more about new concepts that arrive in technology.  This drive prompted me to start my own graphics design company...www.e-sesilyforyou.com.  I work creatively to help small businesses in and around the Atlanta area develop a presence for their company's products and goals.  Visit me on the web anytime!

My goal for working at these two outstanding schools is to show ALL students that technology can be a very integral part of their lives.  I see each of my students as "techies" because they are beginning the process of infusing technology concepts into their daily routine.

If there's ever a need to reach me, you can route your emails to secoleman@atlanta.k12.ga.us, post a message in the Quick Post section of this website, or send me a comment on the class blog (www.mrscolemanstechies.blogspot.com).

I look forward to a great year, so let's get busy!!!!

Mrs. S. Coleman
