Jason Rowe's Reflections

At the beginning of this I thought a leader was someone who was in control of a team or project. By the end of this project I developed a new respect for what a leader is. I learned that it is a leader’s responsibility to take charge of a situation and go beyond the call of duty in order to sure that a project is completed. During the course of this project I have learned to teach myself new skills and adapt to new challenges. I learned that web design is perfect for someone who knows no limit of frustration. With that being said, this project has built the kind of character the arm forces could only dream of. Furthermore, I learned to have patients with my group members as well as myself. I learned that in order for a project to come together compromises must be made. Through out this project I found out what my strengths and weakness were and will work improve both. I feel that this is not only been a great advancement of my leadership skills but, an invaluable life lesson.

Allison Gaudry's Reflections

My group showed leadership by creating a website to help the upcoming and present students navigate through the radiologic science program. School can be very stressful at times, so we wanted to give valuable tools to educate and inspire students to become leaders in the profession. We did this producing information on frequently asked questions, clinic, helpful links, books, honors society, and class representatives.

I interviewed junior and senior students about different questions they had about the program. I can up with a group of frequently asked questions that would be useful, especially to the new students. We also provided information about community service oppurtunities done by former students locally and internationally. This will inspire other students to become active leaders in the radiologic sciences program by giving back to the community.

The website also provided directions and phone numbers to all the clinic sites where the students attend. We also added a forum to assist students in buying their scrubs and buying and selling books. This makes life a little easier by providing easy access to get school supplies.

Another helpful part of the website was the link page. We updated The page with different websites to visit for each indivdual tract. Here students can explore different aspect of radiology and what is all about. It will be helpful to new students by providing information on every track, so they can choose what profession they would like to seek.

We also provided information on the radiologic sciences honor society Lamda Nu. This is for students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, after to consecutive semesters. Hopefully, this will encourage students to be active, intelligent leaders in the healthcare profession. The society promotes success, ethics, and integrity for our students. Lastly, my group introduced the class representatives for all the five tracks of the radiologic sciences program. These are our very own leaders of our program. They take action in planning events and raising money for the radiologic sciences program here at Armstrong atlantic State University. This way students can see who they are if they have any question about event planning.

My group worked hard on trying to provide helpful information about the profession. The website gives useful information for the radiologic sciences programs and also gives tools for students to become active leaders in the healthcare profession. The information provided in the website answers questions and simplifies navigating through the radiologic science programs.
