Service Activity that Made a Contribution to the Community

In Caring for the Community as a Client NURS 4530 I chose to participate in a BMI screening to collect data on the Murfreesboro Community to help identify what age groups are at risk for obesity and how to reduce the risk. I volunteered for 8 hours at Blackman Elementary.

Health Promotion Activity

In Health and Gerontology NURS 3370 I assessed an aging client using several assessment tools and informed the client of ways to reduce health risks and answered questions related to his health concerns.
