Activity that Allowed Me to Apply Theories or Concepts to a Practical Problem
In leadership clinical NURS 4580, as part of the management role we were required to collabroate in the development of an evidenced based practice technique and create an inservice for the staff. This project required applying concepts from nursing research to prove that amnisure is a more accurate tool to use on the labor and delivery units opposed to the tools already used.
In Mental Health Clinical NURS 4560 we participated in clinicals that required us to apply our nursing theories to practical problems. Journals of these experiences are listed. Maslows Hierarchy of Needs is a theory used often in nursing. In mental health it is important that these patients have basic needs met so they can deal with pyschological needs.
