ENG 101
This course is designed to introduce students to college writing. What is expected of them as a college level student as far as writing and grammar techniques is stressed throughout. It also introduces students to proper MLA formatting and citing correctly.
The essay I picked for this section is my Cause/Effect Essay titled “Death by Failure.” I think this essay displays some of my best writing and also shows a side of combat that is often forgotten. It shows how failures in combat can lead to the death of good soldiers. As you read this essay envision yourself in the soldiers’ shoes. After you read this essay you should have a different view of what the men and women of the armed forces go through in a hostile environment.
OBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION:
This pituere dipicts a soldier watching the horizion. Waiting for the enemy to come along, the soldier waits, with machine gun ready. The soldier is still and silent, calm and collected, until the moment comes to put all his training to work.
SUBJECTIVE DISCRITION:
This picture is a representation of me. Not just from my military background but me as a person. I am always watching and obeservant of what is going on around me. I stand ready to make a move. I always weigh out my options before deciding a solution to any problem I face. I fall back on to training I have, not only from the military, but any training I have had through the years to come to a rational conclusions.
