My first semester goals

        I have several short term goals as a student. First, I would like to achieve an “A” in all of my classes. So far I have an “A” in my art history course. However, I currently have a “B” in all of my other courses. I plan on maintaining my “A” in art history and pulling up my other grades. I plan to achieve this goal by studying hard, attending every class, and putting effort into every assignment. I also will receive tutoring from the writing center to learn how to improve my essays. In addition, I will also maintain consistent and intense focus during class ,and study time. Maximizing my study time and developing good study habits is currently my most important short term goal.

My next short term goal is to apply for scholarships. I have applied for various scholarships but have not won one yet. I know that I have not put a lot of effort into my scholarship essays. I also am in my first college level English class. My chances of winning scholarships will increase as I work on my writing. Also, I need to start applying for the scholarships offered by the college and universities that I want to attend.  

 I am planning on transferring to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. However, other Universities/ Colleges are still on my list of possibilities.

My long-term goals as a student are: Earning an A.A. degree by 2010, earning a BFA in Computer Animation by 2013 and a MFA/ Animation by 2018.

My career goal is to get a job animating for Pixar, DreamWorks, Blue Sky Studios, or Disney.
