Community care helps us reach out to the community. At Riverside community dental hygiene school in Moreno Valley, As a dental hygiene student we were able to assist in providing free dental care to children in the annual Give Kids a Smile with the Riverside county with Tri- Country Dental Society in February. Health promotion and disease prevention are taught through educational counseling, which is an essential part in this career. At the Riverside annual kids fair held May 10 we got the opportunity to get involved in the community, we are able to contribute to the community on an individual basis and in group settings, in promoting the our clinic which provides low cost preventive care and free preventive care for children under five years of age. We also provided brochures and educational pamphlets along with toothbrushes and toothpaste. Our involvement in with both SADHA and RCC club will give me the opportunity to further expand my involvement with the community.
