Community services are very important in dental hygiene. It allows us to interact with the public and get the word out that our school offers these great services. Winter 2007 Riverside Community College held a give kids a smile day at the school. They offered cleanings as well as restorative work for children.

Another great community service that I attended was a kid's health fair. The students set up a table with toothbrushes, toothpaste and informative brochures. We also had an oversized mouth with a toothbrush so we could give the kids a quick lesson on how to brush properly.
