Through my experience and training at Riverside Community College I have and will continue to learn how to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the oral health of patients. I will also be able to provide individualized care to each patient because everyone has different needs.  Health Promotion and Disease Prevention is to be practiced daily by utilizing universal standard precautions.  At the RCC clinic when entering the clinic and utilizing a patient operatory standard precautions must be taken into consideration: ie: 2 minute hand wash, PPE’s, spray, wipe, spray, and correct equipment barriers are all necessary to health promotion and to help prevent the spread of disease.  I am able to utilize this by following standard procedures and precautions by what we have been taught in the RCC program, by following the correct steps I will be able to prevent spread of disease.
