By the time I graduate from Riverside Community College I will have the competency to treat all patients young and old, medically compromised or not. Everyday in clinic I have the opportunity to meet and care for a variety of different people. I enjoy getting to know each of my patients and working with them to find their oral hygiene needs. I am coming to the point in the program where my patients will start coming back for there recall appointments. I can not wait to see if I have made a difference in each of their oral cavities and oral home care routines. I am excited to say that I have finished my first year at Riverside Community College Dental Hygiene Program. I have experienced a lot so far and look forward to learning and seeing so much more. So far in the program I have worked with geriatrics, pediatrics, medically challenged and have completed fourteen light calculus patients and three light/medium calculus patients. I will continue updating this portion of my portfolio as the number and extent of patients I provide services to changes daily.
