International Business

 

Purpose of the Organization

The purpose of the organization is s to expand our knowledge of international business, find potential job opportunities, while simultaneously giving back to the community through service.

 

Voting Membership

The organization will be open to all students who are interested in joining.  Members must attend at least half of the organization activities or outreach projects.

 

 

Faculty Advisors

The organization will have at least one faculty advisor and he/she will be informed about the events held by the organization.

Honorary Membership

Honorary membership will be granted to all members who served the organization

 

Officer Responsibilities

President

·        Oversees the club as a whole

·        Works with VP, Treasure, ICC Rep, and the Secretary

·        Obtain official documentations

·        Future planning of the club

·        Call meeting to order and adjourn the meeting

 

Vice President

  • Second in command when President is not present.
  • Works with the President
  • Future planner for the club

 

ICC Rep

  • Represents the club at ICC meetings
  • Keeps the club informed about school and other activities

 

Treasurer

  • Oversees financial activities and creating club budget
  • In charge of fundraisers
  • Keep all financial records on a spread sheet
  • In charge when President and VP are not present

 

Secretary

  • Take record of every meeting
  • Keep data/info organized
  • Have record of all members’ numbers and contact info

 

Public Relations

  • Promoting club activities
  • Work with Historian
  • Come up with social events

           

Sergeant at Arms

  • Allow people to speak one at a time, upholds the rules, keeps order at club meetings.
  • Prevents profanity an uphold respect to one another

 

Historian

  • Takes pictures and records of events

Elections

Elections will be held at the end of every semester; in order to run for a position the student or member must have at least a 2.0 GPA

Vacancies

Vacancies will be appointed by the President, and ratified by the membership

 

Meetings

The organization will meet at least once a month.

 

Special Meetings

Any club officer may call a special meeting within at least a week’s notice

 

Quorum

There must be at least 6 members at a meeting to transact business legally.

 

Cabinet Rules and Regulations

  1. Topics are to be written before the meeting and turned into the Secretary to be organized at the beginning of every cabinet meeting.
  2. Opinions are stated without interruption at least once for every individual
  1. Each discussion will be done thoroughly and done maximize everyone’s opinion, but at the last resort, majority rule will win.
  1. No topic jumping will be allowed.

 

Amendments

This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds vote of membership at which quorum is present.

 

Notification must be given to the members regarding a proposed amendment to the constitution at least 1 meeting prior to the actual vote.

 

A copy of the clubs constitution must be filed in the ECC Student Development Office along with a copy of the minutes of the club meeting at which the approval of amendment occurred.

 

Ratification

This constitution shall become effective upon approval of the E Camino College inter –Club Council, Inter-Club Council Adviser and Student Development Director.
