In terms of military strategy, the ideals of Imperialism must also be considered. Navy and army bases in other countries are a necessity, because they will help to protect fledgling countries, as well as America's own interests. These new bases will grant our government access to new markets, which will expand and improve our economy. Army and navy bases will help to keep these new markets free and open. Finally, we believe that colonies are also a must in order to keep Imperialism growing. Having colonies will help our country to expand our power and our control over the rest of the world.
