Jim Park

Jim is currently the head coach at West Holmes High School located in Millersburg, Ohio. During Jim’s twelve years, West Holmes has won 5 consecutive conference championships—including 5 straight years of being undefeated, 8 straight Sectional, and District Championships, 6 Regional Championships, and in its 6 State Final Four appearances, the Knights have finished as State Runners-Up 3 times. West Holmes has also been the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches’ Poll Champions and has consistently been ranked in the state’s top ten. For his team’s accomplishments, Jim has been named his conferences’ Coach of the Year 6 times, State Coach of the Year two times, and has earned the Coach’s Achievement Award three times. Before his time at West Holmes, Jim assisted at Stow High School under two of the greatest volleyball coaches in Ohio in Bob MacFarland and Ron Wyzynski. During the Stow years, the Bulldogs qualified for the State Final Four four times and won two State Championships. Jim was also assistant director of NOVA Juniors from 1985-2004, coaching teams that qualified for the National Championships four times. As a player, Jim played 14 years in USVBA/USA Volleyball. While being named to the All-Region team in 1987 was a great honor, his greatest accomplishment came on the beach. He qualified for the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) two consecutive years and also won numerous amateur tournaments. During the summer, Jim operates volleyball camps for various high schools throughout northeast and east central Ohio. He resides in Millersburg, Ohio with his wife Lynda, and daughters Cara 9 and Lauren 7.  

 

Ali Drushal 

Ali is a Junior at The College Of Wooster and is majoring in Geology.  Ali is a graduate of West Holmes High School and coached for Wooster Elite 14 National in 06-07.  Ali was a 4-year letter winner for West Holmes High School and started in four straight State Final Fours and State Championships.  During her high school career, the Knights amassed an overall record of 103-5.  The team was State Runners-Up in 2002, 2003, and 2004.  She was a multiple winner of the team's Best Defensive Player Award as well as earning All-Conference and All-District recognition.  As a sophomore at The College of Wooster, Ali was named the NCAC Libero of the Year.  As a junior, she eclipsed The College of Wooster's career dig record.  Along with being a tremendous volleyball player, she carries a 3.9 GPA and is also a member of the track team.  Ali is the daughter of Rich and Josie Drushal and has one brother, Rick.
