About Us

Ohio Elite came into existence as a 15 National team in 2006 behind the efforts of Jeff Pew, Eric Short, and Jerry Craycraft. Assembling players from Cloverleaf, Jackson, Northwest, Orrville, Smithville, Tuscarawas Central Catholic, and Wooster, the team enjoyed much success in its first year. Having won four tournaments, including one 16 National event, the team ended 2006 with a 3rd place Gold finish in the Ohio Valley Regional Championships. This year’s team will be competing at the 16 National level and is expecting to play at the highest level each and every day.

Our philosophy is simple: We want to improve every day, play to the best of our abilities in every tournament, and have a great time doing it. As a club, it is important that we provide the best instruction and experience at the best price for our players. Our coaches volunteer their time and efforts and our parents sacrifice a great deal to be a part of Ohio Elite. We are very proud of each and every player and their parents.

Our parents have played a huge part in our success and experiences. They take care of all details that are “semi-volleyball” related. Parents have filled such important jobs as buying uniforms, team apparel and team balls, videotaping practices and matches, creating our team website, retrieving balls during warm-ups/practices, and of course the most important job of providing ice cream, cheesecakes, scotch-a-roos, and chocolate chip cookies for coaches! On a serious note, our parents are just as important to our program as our kids are. Their continued efforts to provide a positive experience for their daughters are of the utmost priority and should be. Let’s make 2008 the best yet and continue to have a vision for the future.
