After serving 27 years in the United States Coast Guard

I retired in June 2002. After retirement it was time to follow my dream to become a teacher. My first teaching position after retireing was actually teaching my fellow Coast Gaurdsmen in the field of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. After teaching 4 years in Virginia warmer weather was calling my name so when a position teaching at a Technical Institute for Air Conditioning in Orlando, Florida became available it was time to move on. This was a temporary position just to help get the school up and running. Once the Institute was establiched I took a position at Southern Technical College to set up and teach their new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program. While there I designed, set-up, created lesson plans, and started teaching at the Orlando Campus. It was such a success they had me establish the same format in the Sanford and Lakeland Campuses. To date Southern Technical College has established 5 Campuses with the program I originally created.
