My field work was completed at Hamilton-Bicentennial Elementary School in the small town of Cuddebackville, NY. I choose to do my field work at HBE because I had previously done observation there for one of my educational classes at O.C.C.C. My experience was so worthwhile and educational in Mrs. Hessburger's 2nd grade class I just had to call her up and ask for my hours. I completed 26 hours in her 2nd grade classroom. I wrote and implemted three 2nd grade lesson plans. Mrs. Hessburger was encouraging and made me feel extremely comfortable. The children were excited to see a new face in front of them. After I completed my 26 hours I felt a srong bond between myself and Mrs. hessburger as well as with the entire classroom. In this field you can only learn so much from a textbook. I have feel my experience in 2-B is un-parallel to anything that I have ever read thus far. I personally feel that nothing can prepare you for the experiences that you encounter besides previous experience!
