About Me

a little bit about me...

My name is Staci Collier. I was born in Pensacola, Florida in February of 1986. I have always wanted to a teacher ever since I was in elementary school. After graduating from high school, my plan was to go to college to become a high school Math teacher. After a couple of tough math classes I decided to change my major to Middle Level Education, and have LOVED ever minute of it. I have worked with children for years which includes being an Instructor for the Pace High Colorguard, teaching a Middle School girls Sunday School Class, and even had the honor of spending two weeks in Thailand teaching Thai students English. All these experiences have fuel my passion to work with children and to make a difference in their lives.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that a job as a teacher should be held in one of the highest positions available. This is because teachers have the ability to hold the future of their students in their classrooms. I believe every student should have the oppurtunity to increase their knowledge on a daily basis and my goal is to provide that type of environment. I will try to provide oppurtunities where my student can think outside of the book and come up with their own thoughts which includes making their own discoveries within their "bank of knowledge". Doing this the students takes ownership of their knowledge.
