SLT Sol-Mi Assessment Baseline 2012 First Grade Sol/Mi Assessment Q1 2012 This rubric shows how the students will be assessed on their ability to pitch match a minor 3rd in the first quarter of music, 2012. This assessment focuses on matching sol-mi pitches vocally. The content and achievement standards from the Academic Standards for Music, Caddo Parish (LA) Music Department were used: Mus1.3.1 - Sing a cappella and accompanied songs with attention to pitch, diction, tone quality, and posture. 	Unsatisfactory 0 pts	Needs Improvement 1 pts	Approaching Proficiency 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts
sol-mi (G4-E4) pitch matching	Unsatisfactory Student cannot or refuses to use singing voice.	Needs Improvement Student uses a singing voice but does not produce intervals.	Approaching Proficiency Student is able to sing a minor 3rd but does not match the pitch set by teacher.	Proficient Student matches pitch by singing a minor 3rd selected by the teacher.
