Class Participation Class Participation This rubric will guide you to understanding your class and behavior grade. While I understand some of you are shy, you are still responsible of putting in an effort to demostrate the speaking ability by calling Google Voice and recording your speaking assignments. Show extra effort by coming on Tuesdays beginning of period 9. Offer to complete extra credit assignements. You are all encouraged to actively and respectfully participate in Class to ensure success!!! Class Participation
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excelent 4 pts
Attendance	Poor Rarely prepared or attends class. Otherwise, excessive lateness.	Fair Sometimes prepared and attends class. Otherwise, sometimes late.	Good Usually prepared and attends class. Very few absences or lateness.	Excelent Always prepared and attends class. Student is punctual.
Class assignments response	Poor Assignments are late, incomplete, or not turned in at all.	Fair Assignments reflect average work. Not much effort.	Good Completes all class assignments; occasionally adds something extra. Demonstrates effort.	Excelent Class assignments have something extra about them. Students demonstrate effort and research.
Content knowledge and behavior	Poor Low level of content knowledge. Often due to disruptive talking.	Fair Average content knowledge but disrupts the class with talking.	Good Excellent content knowledge but sometimes disrupts the class with talking.	Excelent Exceptional content knowledge and listens attentively in class discussions.
Initiative/Learner	Poor Rarely demonstrates initiative.	Fair Occasionally demonstrate initiave others.	Good Demonstrates initiative and improvement. Seeks to understand and acknowledge others’ thoughts.	Excelent Always demonstrates initiative respecfully. Understands and acknowledges others' thoughts.
