Organization	Poor The project is haphazard at best and does not convey meaning	Fair This project lacks a clear organizational structure. Meaning is difficult to comprehend because of the lack in organization	Good This project is organized effectively, but there are places where the reader loses focus and cannot clearly understand what is being conveyed	Excellent This project is well organized. The reader can clearly understand what is being conveyed through the project
Analysis	Poor The reader has no analysis and only rudimentary references to the text	Fair This writer almost solely relies on plot summary rather than analysis. He/she only mentiones themes in a superficial manner	Good Although the writer evaluates themes and meaning, he/she shows a developing grasp of analysis. More plot summary is here than anything else	Excellent The writer accurately, carefully and analytically evlauted the themes and meaning in the novel and was able to convey these concepts in a clear, focused manner
Mechanics	Poor The project has too many grammatical and spelling errors for the reader to understand meaning	Fair The project has numerous grammatical and spelling errors that significanly impair understanding	Good The project has a few grammatical and spelling errors but they do not significantly impair understanding	Excellent The project is free from grammatical and spelling errors
Presentation	Poor This project is basic and has no creativity whatsoever.	Fair The project lacks effective presentation skills. It is presented in a basic way and does not attract the reader's attention	Good The project is presented in a creative manner, but lacks an overall positive presentation. There are cross-outs, erasures, etc that distract the reader.	Excellent The project is presented in an attractive manner. The reader identifies quickly with the project and is quickly drawn into reading about the novel
Creativity	Poor Creativity is totally lacking	Fair The author doesn't use much creativity. He/she presents a basic project	Good The author has moments of creativity which cause the reader to become interested. However, some parts of the project are "dry"	Excellent The author uses creativity to explore the themes/ideas in the novel. The author relies on his/her own creativity to present the project in the best possible way
