I sounded out words by stretching them out and writing what I heard. My words have beginning and ending consonants and some vowels.
On My Way

I used the word wall to write many high frequency words correctly. Words that I sounded out are closer to the real spelling (have word endings, blends and vowel patterns.

I used punctuation and capital letters with some mistakes.

My writing has correct use of capital letters and punctuation.

Some of my letters are scribbly or backwards. Writing is run together without spaces.

My letters are mostly formed correctly and there are spaces between words.

My writing is neat, well spaced and easy to read.
