Introduction	Good - Introduces author - Introduces title - Introduces the main character and gives a short summary of the main events of the book.	Fair Introduction missing one or more elements	Poor Introduction does not introduce required information and does not have the characteristics of an introduction.
Theme	Good -Introduces the theme of the story and has at least 2 pieces of evidence that strongly supports the theme with an explanation of how.	Fair -The theme is introduced, but evidence is limited with little to no explanation of support.	Poor -The theme or evidence is missing from this paragraph.
Supporting Quotes	Good Body paragraph has at least two (2) quotes to add support. - Each quote is also properly cited according to MLA.	Fair Body paragraph only has one (1) quote to support the body paragraph. -Each quote may or may not be cited correctly.	Poor No quotes are present in the essay
