Order of Events The students will show an understanding of the story by placing the events in a logical order.	Poor The student was unable to put the events into a logical sequence.	Fair Some of the events of the story are in the correct logical sequence.	Good All events were in the correct logical sequence.
Sequence clue words Use first, then, next, and finally.	Poor The student did not use any of the sequencing words.	Fair The student used a few of the sequencing clue words.	Good All sequencing clue words were used by the student in a logical order.
Picture The student will illustrate one event from the story.	Poor The student did not draw a picture of an event from the story.	Fair The student drew a picture but did not use color.	Good The student colored the picture drawn that shows an event from the story.
