	Level 1 1 pts	Level 2 2 pts	Level 3 3 pts	Level 4 4 pts
Ideas:	Level 1 The author didn't know what the topic of this paper was supposed to be.	Level 2 This paper focuses on the topic, but there are not enough details.	Level 3 This paper focuses on the topic and uses a lot of details, but some details don't belong .	Level 4 This paper holds the reader's attention. The ideas focus on the subject with a lot of great details.
Organization:	Level 1 This paper has no organization at all.	Level 2 This paper has a beginning middle and end.	Level 3 This paper has a beginning, middle and end. It has time order words, but tends to use the same ones over and over.	Level 4 This paper has a beginning, middle, and end and is well organized. It uses a variety of time order words.
Word Choice:	Level 1 The author of this paper is lacking descriptive words.	Level 2 The author of this paper attempted to use three or four descriptive words.	Level 3 The author of this paper used many descriptive words to make the paper interesting.	Level 4 The author of this paper used a variety of descriptive words correctly which helped to make it more interesting.
Sentence Fluency:	Level 1 Most of the sentences in this paper are not really sentences at all. They are simply unrelated words stuck together.
