Comic Strip/ Graphic Story Rubric Comic Strip/ Graphic Story Rubric Students will create a comic strip using www.professorgarfield.org comics lab or the bitstrip app. Students will create a supplementary story to the play choosing a genre/era of the choice (approved by the teacher). Captions 4 pts	Poor Captions do not relate well to the scenes. There seems to be no connection or connections are very general.	Fair Captions are related to the scenes and the story, but the connections are less obvious.	Good Captions are related to the scenes and the story, and most connections are easy to understand.	Exeptional Captions are related to the scenes and the story, and the connections are easy to understand.
Thought/Speech Bubbles 4 pts	Poor No Thought/Speech Bubbles are present.	Fair Some Thought/Speech Bubbles are present and reveal some person's thoughts or relay some dialogue	Good Most Thought/Speech Bubbles are present and somewhat reveal a person's thoughts or relay dialogue.	Exeptional Thought/ Speech bubbles are present and clearly reveal the thoughts or relay dialogue efficiently of the person in the picture.
Artistry 4 pts	Poor The frames do not flow well and have no detail. Not all frames present (0-2)	Fair The frames have very little flow and few details. Not all frames present (3-4).	Good The frames flow fairly well and have sufficient detail. All six frames present.	Exeptional The frames flow well and have good detail. All six frames present.
Story 4 pts	Poor Shows some events related to the play, but information is incomplete or focused on less important points.	Fair Shows most important events related to play, highlights unimportant points.	Good Shows most of the important related to the play, however their is at least one discrepancy/conflict with the original.	Exeptional Shows events that are relevant and reasonably accurate as a sequel or missing scene.
Humor 4 pts	Poor There is no evidence of any humor.	Fair Little evidence of humor.	Good Humor is clear and developed fairly well.	Exeptional Creative humor. Well represented and developed throughout the frames.
