Musical Genre - Presentation Musical Genre - Presentation One of the most important parts of musical knowledge is to understand the many genres that music itself is made up of. Your project is to focus on one of these genres and create a presentation of the musical genre. Knowledge	Exceptional Completed the worksheet with clear, complete answers. Demonstrates understanding of how and why the genre developed and compares it effectively to other genre.	Good Completed the worksheet with basic answers and understands how genre developed over time. Shows basic comparison to at least one other genre.	Fair Completed most of the worksheet and demonstrated some understanding of genre development.	Poor Did not complete worksheet.
Technology	Exceptional Presentation included slide show of 5-20 effective slides. Audio/visual clips included and appropriate.	Good Presentation included slide show of 5-12 effective slides. Audio/visual clips included. Time of 6-8 minutes well-used.	Fair The presentation included limited or inappropriate use of technology. Time less than 6 minutes.	Poor The presentation does not include use of technology.
Musical Examples	Exceptional The presentation includes three appropriate examples with artist information. Very effective examples.	Good The presentation includes two or three appropriate musical examples from the proper genre with information about the artists.	Fair The presentation includes two appropriate musical examples but not from the proper genre or without artist information.	Poor The presentation does not include accurate or appropriate musical examples or artist information.
Organization	Exceptional The presentation had great organization and flows easily from the beginning of the genre to modern day with clear direction. Essential question and answer are clearly presented.
