Technique Class Rubric 
Students will teach a technique class to their peers encompassing a proper warm-up, across the floors exercises, and a brief combo.The style of the class should be consistent throughout the entire class, as well as have some level of difficulty to challenge peers.

Technical Skills

Little attention is paid to how movements are performed or other details. Movements performed lazily

Only some understanding of technical elements (i.e. isolations, locomotor movment, quality of movements and body positions)

Movements are performed with attention to most details of technique, student could be more full out when demonstrating movement.
Excellent

Demonstrates locomotor and non-locomotor movements accurately with great attention to timing, spacing and levels high medium and low. High energy is present throughout the demonstration. Student dances with a group while maintaining technical accuracy.
Focus/ Effort

Poor

Students' focus is never or seldom at a high level. Student shows low energy and little presence. Student stops, but doesn't freeze in neutral position. Students put little though and effort into their technique class. Student is standoffish while teaching.
Fair

Students' focus is sometimes at a high level but eyes wander. Student sometimes shows high energy and presence. Student put some effort into technique class, lacks in certain areas. Student is stand offish while teaching.
Good

Students' focus is mostly at high level with steady eyes, high energy and presence. Student put forth a good effort into class, forgot a few things, but kept the class running. Student is kind to peers not bossy.
Excellent

Students' focus is always a high level with steady eyes, high energy and presence. Students put in a lot of effort to teach peers, excels in all areas required. Student is kind to peers not bossy, willing to help out.
