Structure	Poor Student does not follow any structure.	Fair Student has definite scenes, but in no particular structure or order.	Good Student has a character page, stage directions, scenes, but is missing a completed play.	Excellent Student wrote a whole one-act play; the completed project has a beginning, middle and an end.
Creativity	Poor Student does not show any creativity or does not try at all.	Fair Some creativity.	Good Play is creative and interesting.	Excellent Highly creative, interesting, nearly publishable.
Development	Poor Student could have cared less about this assignment.	Fair Student edited some of the work throughout the unit, but wrote most of her play the day before it was due.	Good Student read scenes out loud in class weekly and she wrote and rewrote scenes more than once before she submitted it for a grade.	Excellent Student worked diligently to create an amazing, artistic and well-edited play weekly, with diligence and passion, without procrastination.
