Presentation was within a few seconds of five minutes. Presentation was professional, focused, reflected the culmination of the student's research and exceeded expectations for the solo presentation.
Critical Thinking

Student applied no initiative to presentation. Presentation was basic superficial overview with no ideas of direction on student's part.
Fair

Student applied limited critical thinking to presentation, relying largely on one source to direct the nature of the presentation.
Good

Student used their own initiative and critical thinking to apply subject and research data to shape a presentation the was comprehensive and unique.
Excellent

Student's initiative and free-thought created a presentation that was appropriate to the subject and accurate, yet embodied a perspective unique to and created by the student.
Communication

Poor

Student used poor grammar, broken English, no eye contact or other communication/presentation issues.
Fair

Student's presentation included some use of poor grammar, broken English, only occasional eye contact or other issues.
Good

Presentation included proper grammar and use of English, good eye contact and other presentation basics. Student referred to but was not "glued" to their notes.
Excellent

Presentation had sterling grammar, English usage, good eye contact and energy. Student rarely used or never used their notes.
Creativity

Student applied no creativity or original thinking or ideas to their presentation.

Student applied minimal creativity or original ideas to presentation.
Good

Student applied adequate creativity to presentation - demonstrating original thinking in their approach to their presentation.

Student's presentation excelled in creativity - using a novel, or particularly attention-getting approach.
