Creative Writing Character Recipes 
This project will help students develop an in-depth character analysis of a character by writing a recipe to cook up the character. Groups will then create a "published" book of their anaylsis-recipes.

The analysis-recipe is written like an actual recipe, has at least 5 steps, and shows the creative use of adjectives and action verbs to provide insight into the character.

Fair

The analysis-recipe is not written like an actual recipe, has 3 steps, and shows the general use of adjectives and action verbs to provide insight into the character.

The analysis-recipe does not show the creative use of adjectives and action verbs to provide insight into the character and it has less than 3 steps.
Final Product

Excellent

The recipe is free of errors and is typed using Google Docs or a word processor. I have also turned in a printed copy to be used by my group for the recipe book.
Good

The recipe has 4 or less errors but is typed using Google Docs or a word processor. The group has a complete, printed recipe book with less than 1 character recipe per group memeber.
Fair

The recipe has 5- 9 errors but is typed using Google Docs or a word processor. The group has an incomplete, printed recipe book.
Poor

The recipe has more than 10 error and/or is not typed, or is incomplete.
Cook Book Contribution

Excellent

My recipe was included in the final Cook Book and I contributed with at least 3 of the following areas; the layout, binding, editing, publishing, or embellishment of the final book.
Good

My recipe was included in the final Cook Book and I contributed with at least 2 of the following areas; the layout, binding, editing, publishing, or embellishment of the final book.
Fair
