Good Student has made an attempt to include most of the parts of the staff.	Fair Student has included some of the parts of the staff.	Poor Student has made little or no attempt to include any of the parts of the staff
Notes	Excellent Student has used all 8 notes of the C major scale for this composition	Good Student has used most of the notes of the C scale with some errors.	Fair Student has used a variety of notes, some of which include the first four notes of the concert C scale.	Poor Student has made no effort to use any of the notes of the concert C scale.
