Middle Writing reflects an understanding of theories, concepts and main ideas of course material using the text.	High Writing reflects a in-depth understanding of theories, concepts and main ideas of course material using the text.
Writing technique and clarity	Low - Writing is unclear and hard to understand. Contains errors in grammar, punctuation and/or spelling.	Middle Writing is generally clear, unnecessary words are occasionally used. Paragraph or sentence structure is too repetitive. Few errors in grammar, punctuation and/or spelling.	High Writing is crisp, clear and succinct. Writer incorporates an active voice when appropriate with supporting ideas and examples. No errors in grammar, punctuation and/or spelling.
Citations/References: Proper APA	Low - Citation for the article did not follow APA format and was missing essential information.	Middle Citation for the article did not follow APA format, a few errors were evident.	High Citation followed APA format. Essential information was accurate and complete.
