TV Programming Problem Birthday Bash Budget This rubric assesses student's ability to timetable and schedule an evening's TV programming within given guidelines. Rubric Code: M9753B By carly_n2 Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Math Type: Assessment Grade Levels: 6-8

	Awesome! 5 pts	Good 3 pts	Inadequate 1 pts
TV Programs	Awesome! Student has included all 5 TV programs into the schedule at suitable times. The TV programs have been given the correct amount of running time during the evening.	Good Student has included all 5 TV programs into the schedule however the programs have either not been scheduled at suitable times or they have been given the incorrect amount of running time during the evening.	Inadequate Student has not included all 5 TV programs into the schedule AND not scheduled programs at suitable times OR the TV programs have not been given the correct amount of running time during the evening.
Advertisements	Awesome! Student has scheduled advertisements at regular intervals throughout the evening. Each program includes 15-20 minutes worth of advertisements. Extra ad breaks are included during prime time viewing.	Good Student has scheduled advertisements throughout the evening. Each program includes advertisement breaks. An attempt has been made to schedule extra ad breaks during prime time viewing.	Inadequate Student has scheduled advertisements but not at regular intervals throughout the evening. Extra ad breaks are not included during prime time viewing.
Time Conversions	Awesome! Student has shown the running time of programs in three ways: total minutes, hours and minutes, and clock start/finish time on TV schedule. Maths Strategies	Awesome! Student was able to succcessfully use Maths strategies to solve the problem.	Good Student attempted different strategies to solve the problem.	Inadequate Student was not able to solve the problem without direct teacher assistance.
