What's So Special? There's Nothing to do in Port Charlotte! Students are to create 2 systems of equations: one system that has no solution and the other system that has infinite solutions. Equations for each system must be written in Slope-Intercept Form. Each system must be solved graphically. Each system must also be solved algebraically, with work shown. Special Systems of Equations Systems with no solution or infinite solutions.

Accuracy of equations Each equation (for both systems) is written in slope-intercept form.	Excellent All 4 equations are written accurately.	Good Three of the equations are written accurately.	Fair Two of the equations are written accurately.	Poor Less than 2 of the equations are written accurately.
Graph for each equation Each system of equations is graphed on it's own graph.	Excellent Accurate line graphs exist for all 4 equations.	Good Accurate line graphs exist for 3 equations.	Fair Accurate line graphs exist for 2 equations.	Poor Accurate line graphs exist for less than 2 equations.
Accurate solutions algebraically	Excellent Accurate answers are given for both systems with appropriate work shown.	Good Accurate answers are given for one system with appropriate work shown.	Fair The solution of 1 system is incorrect or appropriate work is not shown.	Poor The solution of both systems is incorrect or appropriate work is not shown.
Explanation For each system, thoroughly explain what makes the system special. Be sure to discuss elements of the graph and the equations that contribute to the system being a special system.	Excellent The response correctly defines what makes BOTH system special.	Good The response correctly defines what makes ONE of the systems special.	Fair The response does not correctly define what makes the systems special.	Poor No reason is given.
Writing Mechanics -Answers in complete sentences. -Correct spelling, puncuation, gammar & capitalization.	Excellent All elements are accurate.	Good There are less than 3 errors.	Fair There are between 3 and 6 errors.	Poor There are more than 6 errors.
