Quality of research

Demonstration of understanding historical/famous person

Insuffisant

Did not know much about the historical/famous figure, and have unsuccessfully imparted much information to the class.
Pas mal

Had a general knowledge of who the historical figure was/is, but have made some general summations of this figure.
Bien

You really show understanding of the contributions of the historical/famous figure, and what their life was/is about.
Excellent/Fantastique

Added to the audience's understanding of the figure. Interview explains more about the figure than one might typically learn from the average interview
Quality of responses

How full were answers when responding to interview questions?

Insuffisant

Answers are not well thought out and there is little evidence that much effort was put into the project.
Pas mal

Answers are not as well thought out at times. Material researched is not consistently used, and therefor caused many long pauses.
Bien

Answers are well thought out and there is evidence that research material and components have been applied to presentations of character. Good job!
Excellent/Fantastique

Answers are well thought out and there is excellent evidence that you have applied all the material and components researched and did further research on your own. Dynamic effort!
Structure of responses

Quality of grammar used in responses

Insuffisant

Many mistakes were made when answering the questions asked of you. Subject-verb / adjective agreement was minimal, and this actually took from overall understanding.
Pas mal

Grammar was a bit weak, but there were a few moments where the sentences were clear. Overall understanding was affected by mistakes made in grammar.
Bien

Solid use of grammar when answering questions. A few mistakes here and there, but this did not affect overall understanding of what was being said.
Excellent/Fantastique

Excellent job using proper grammar when answering questions! Very few, if any mistakes were present, which made for a very smooth transition of one response to the next. Very fluid!
Presentation

Students personify the famous figure as well as the interviewer.

Insuffisant

Presentation is difficult to understand. Not taken seriously, and no effort was made to "become" the character. Responses to questions went off topic.
Pas mal

Presentation is understandable, but it is a strain to keep up. Effort is shown to "become" the historical / famous figure, although there are some mistakes made in properly answering questions.
Bien

Presentation is good. Interview is interesting, as it brought in the audience and made them believe in who you were portraying. Obvious that a good amount of time was spent getting to know your info.
Excellent/Fantastique

Presentation was very interesting, engaging and entertaining without taking away from the purpose. The audience was immediately drawn in because you made a tremendous effort to become your character by knowing many details.
Pronunciation

How mindful are you of pronunciation and how does it affect overall comprehension?

Insuffisant

Pronunciation is weak and there are many errors. Comprehension is a real strain.
Pas mal

Demonstration of basic knowledge of rules of pronunciation, but several errors are still made; making it difficult at times to understand what you were trying to get across to the audience.
Bien

You demonstrate knowledge of rules of pronunciation and although there are a few errors here and there, it was not difficult to follow what it was that you were trying to get across to the audience.
Excellent/Fantastique

You demonstrate a strong knowledge of rules of pronunciation and therefore very few errors are made, if any. Proper pronunciation complemented the quality of your interview! Excellent!
