Story Swap
Students will swap the key events of two stories. The first story is the assigned excerpt. The second story is a news brief that students will search for and evaluate. Students must identify the main events of each story and then write them in the other style. Students will ensure that each new story uses appropriate vocabulary, syntax, and style for what it is now.
