Accomplished/Good Good overall sequence of ideas, but explanations of relations between items and transitions are not very clear.	Developing/Fair Good overal sequence of ideas, but lacking explanation of relatonships between ideas.	Deficient/Poor Random list of different ideas and no explanation of relationships between ideas.
Paragraph Wide 2 pts The organization of individual paragraphs	Exemplary/Excellent Contain a central idea and has a unified development of paragraphs	Accomplished/Good Contain a central idea, but development of pargraph is less unified.	Developing/Fair Contains a central idea, but paragraph does not develop.	Deficient/Poor Paragraphs are random lists of sentences that are not related to some central idea.
Organization Indicators 1 pts Section headings and other organizational elements (such as formatting) which help to indicate the organization of the document. Introductory Abstract 1 pts	Exemplary/Excellent Abstract clearly and concisely relays the major goals, procedures, and outcomes.	Accomplished/Good Abstract missing major goals, procedures, or outcomes or not very concise.	Developing/Fair Abstract missing two of major goals, procedures, and outcomes or is extremely lengthy.	Deficient/Poor No abstract or abstract completely fails to summarize the report.
Clarity 3 pts	Exemplary/Excellent Ideas are clearly presented and developed and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the subject material.	Accomplished/Good Ideas are somewhat clearly presented and developed.	Developing/Fair Ideas are not very clearly presented and developed and demonstrates that the writer is not very familiar with the material.	Deficient/Poor Confusing and it appears the writer has no idea of what the material is about.
Persuasive 3 pts	Exemplary/Excellent Every idea is logically supported by relevant facts and a judgement on the reliability of the data is made.	Accomplished/Good Every idea is logically supported by relevant facts.	Developing/Fair Ideas are related to relevant facts.	Deficient/Poor Ideas are not related to facts at all and it is not clear if the ideas can be justified at all.
Conclusions 2 pts	Exemplary/Excellent Conclusions and implications for the project of the work are clearly presented and are supported by the material in the report.	Accomplished/Good Conclusions and implications for the project are presented; however, it is not clear if the material in the report supports the conclusions given.	Developing/Fair No conclusions or implications are given or the conclusions given are not supported by the material in the report.	Deficient/Poor Conclusions or implciations given are contradicted by the material in the report.

Figures, Tables, and Equations 2 pts	Exemplary/Excellent All figures, tables, and equations are correctly formatted, clearly labeled, and referrred to in the text. Figures, tables, and equations that are needed to support the text are present.	Accomplished/Good Some problems with formatting, labelling, or referencing to figures, tables, or equations. Most, but not all, of the figures, tables, and equations that are needed to support the text are present.	Developing/Fair Many problems with formatting, labelling, or referencing to figures, tables, or equations. Many of the figures, tables, and equations need to support the text are present.
