French 1 writing Present tense assignment 
Students will write a continuation of the play Comment Y Aller using the Present tense. As well, they must include pronouns and adjectives.

Verbs in present tense

Goal

Show your ability to use the present tense using ER, IR, RE and Irregular verbs in both positive and negative form (ne verb pas). A minimum use of 5 regular and 3 irregular verbs.
Poor

Incorrect forms. Did not use the present tense correctly. Multiple errors. Very poorly written.
eg: Ils dit. (incorrect should be ils disent)
Fair

There are 5 or 6 errors. The usage clearly shows that you are unsure of how the present tense is used.
Good

There are 3 or 4 errors in forms and usage. It is clear that you know what you are doing but you need more practice.
Superior

There are only 1 or 2 errors in form or usage.
Formidable

Excellent use of the present tense. There are no errors.
Adjectives

Goal

Show your ability to use adjectives and that you know to agree the adjective with the noun it is describing. A minimum of 5 adjectives must be used. You must use masculine, feminine and plural adjectives.
Poor

There are multiple agreement or placement errors. This is poorly written.
eg: Bob est contentes. Should be Bob est content, contentes is feminine plural, Bob is masculine.
Fair

There are 4 or 5 agreement errors.
Good

There are 2 or 3 agreement errors.
Superior

There is 1 agreement error.
Formidable

Excellent agreement. There are no errors.
Pronouns

Goal

Show that you know how to use each of the following types of pronouns:
1) Je, Tu, Il/Elle, Nous, Vous, Ils/Elles
2) me, te,
3) moi, toi
4) y
A minimum of 8 pronouns must be used.
Poor

There are multiple pronoun errors. This is very poorly written.
eg: Est-ce que je peux y aller au toilettes?
It should say Est-ce que je peux aller au toilettes? OR
Est-ce que je peux y aller?
Fair

There are 4 or 5 pronoun errors.
Good

There are 2 or 3 pronoun errors.
Superior

There is one pronoun error.
Formidable

Excellent use of pronouns no errors. Shows all five types of pronouns in two different tenses.
Politeness

Goal

Show your ability to navigate the French
Vous vs Tu rules of politeness.
Vous is used for one person to be respectful.
eg: Est-ce que vous aimez le chocolat, Madame?

Tu is used for peers or close family.
eg: Est-ce que tu amies le chocolat, Bob?
