Good

The student shows knowledge of the character by accurately depicting them and their traits. They write traits that can be verified by looking at their actions in the book.

The student shows knowledge of the character however they name traits that aren't accurate. or things that aren't what the character would say/ do.
Poor

The student's characterization shows no knowledge of the character.
Memorable Event of Character

Good

Student has accurately described a memorable event of selected character from the novel.
Fair

Student has described a memorable event of selected character from the novel, however it is very limited in information and detail.
Poor

Student has not accurately described a memorable event of selected character from the novel.
Presentation/ Appearance

Good

The project clearly shows effort: it is clean, decorated, and neat. The student presented it in a clear manner.
Fair

The project shows some effort but could use more work: it is not decorated as nice as it could be, a bit sloppy, and perhaps crinkled.
Poor

The project shows little to no effort: it is not decorated, is completely in pencil (and it wasn't an artistic choice), and is messy.
