Reading for Speed
	Poor No increase in words per minute. 1 pts	Fair Increase in words per minute 5%. 2 pts	Good Increase in words per minute by 10% 3 pts
Understand Story sequence.	Poor Student does not follow the story line while reading quicker.	Fair Student identifies with part of the story but all of it.	Good Student is able to capture the story line or content of the reading without any problems.
Understand Where the story happens.	Poor Student does recognize where the story happens.	Fair Student has some facts about the story location.	Good Student is able to relate very easily to the location of the story.
Understands who the story is about.	Poor Student unable to recognize main characters from minor characters.	Fair Student can trace the involvement of one character in the story.	Good Student is very able to comment on any of the characters read about in the story.
Story Theme	Poor Student unable to identify the story theme.	Fair Student able to identify one or more key themes to the story. Does not capture all the themes however.	Good Student can relate the story theme to each of the story characters read about.
