Durability	Poor Model is broken, or falls apart when touched.	Fair Model has loose parts that will easily fall off.	Good Model is durable, but will fall apart or break if mishandled at all.	Excellent Model is very durable and will last for an extended time.
Materials	Poor Do not resemble parts of the organ/ system at all. Similar materials and colors used for all parts.	Fair Do not clearly resemble organ/ system. Similar materials and colors used for some parts.	Good Materials resemble organ/ virus/ system, but not obvious without labels.	Excellent All materials used resemble organ/ system. Variety of materials used. Even without labels they are obvious what parts they represent.
Components	Poor Missing 3 or more major parts.	Fair Some major parts present. Missing 2.	Good Most major parts present. Missing 1.	Excellent All major parts present.
Labels	Poor Components are not labeled or at simply labeled wrong.	Fair Some components are not labeled or are labeled incorrectly. Labels are messy. Originality	Poor Just another model.	Fair Model is nice, but lacking serious effort in terms of originality and an unique look at a system.	Good Model is fairly original and represents the system accurately, but does not set itself apart from others.	Excellent Model is original and unique. It illustrates the system and also the student's creativity.
