Discussion Board Participation Rubric Discussion Board Participation Rubric This rubric will be used to assign points for your discussion board participation. Each discussion board post is worth 10 points with a 100% basis. You will receive one point for posting an assignment by the due date. One point will be DEDUCTED IF YOU FAIL TO POST THREADS AND/OR REPLIES ON TIME. Please note the consequence is the same regardless of which offense has occurred. Quality of Information	Excellent Information clearly relates to the main topic. Contributions are substantive, thoughtful and relevant to the discussion. There are at least five citations that reference to course content or content found via research.	Satisfactory Information clearly relates to the main topic in Contributions are thoughtful and relevant, but have less than five citations from course content or content found via research.	Requires further effort Information has little or nothing to do with the main topic or simply restates the main concepts. Statements are not supported in at least three citations from course content or found via research.
Participation	Excellent Responds to members of the online community. Encourages and facilitates interaction among members of the class. Response is at least five hundred words.	Satisfactory Responds to members of the online community. At least one response is not five hundred words.	Requires further effort Limited or no response to members of the online community. Both responses lack necessary word count
Adherence to Discussion Protocols	Excellent 1-2 errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation or syntax. Digital Citizenship/netiquette protocols outlined as per school handbook were followed.
