Content

Needs Improvement

Lots of white empty space on your graphic organizer. Huge writing doesn't make it informative. Some really important ideas are missing or just wrong.
Lacking in content specific vocabulary or key ideas
Good

Your graphic organizer includes the most important terms and concepts; but there is room for some further important detail. You've got the basics but not much beyond. Add details and/or expand ideas
Great

Your work contains good quality and quantity of information; you use content specific vocabulary ; work reflects in-depth comprehension of the main idea; evidence of learning is apparent in quantity and/or quality of info.
Organization

Needs Improvement

The theme of your graphic and relationships between ideas are not clearly evident because words just seem to be randomly written on paper
Good

Some attempt is evident to organize terms and ideas spatially and conceptually;
some parts may be lacking, unclear, or incorrect. You could add more sections or expand on big ideas.
Some ideas would be better in other places.
Great

Your graphic visually separates/connects ideas by types, levels, etc. You've "chunked" info insightfully and it reflects comprehension. Big ideas are dissected and small ideas are unified conceptually and accurately
Utility

Needs Improvement

The work reflects a lack of personal investment and respect for the reader who is unable to learn from this graphic.
You may have read about stuff but you didn't do anything with the content.
Good

This might be used for studying or taking a test if it had just a little more info or was a bit better organized. Not super functional but it does suggest your grasp of the main ideas and ability to classify the info.
Great

This "answer key" enhances the reader's understanding of this subject.
Making this graphic was a valuable learning experience for you as well.
You could sell this as a study guide.
Composition

Needs Improvement

Not neat. Difficult to read. Prepared carelessly. May contain spelling errors, poor composition. May need proofreading/editing.
Lack of information or supporting ideas suggests poor comprehension or effort
Good

Your work is not easy to read but the composition is good with few errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, diction, etc.
Some ideas not clear b/c of poor communication
A good rough draft
Great

Your work is neatly written and the composition is very good including effective diction, syntax, and supporting information

You've made very effective use of your time and space
