Knowledge	Poor Response is not correct.	Fair Response has elements that are correct.	Good Response is mostly correct.	Excellent Response is complete and correct.
Comprehension	Poor Response signifies the students does not understand the question.	Fair The answer is vague in its understanding of the question and hints at the right answer.	Good The response shows understanding of the question and provides a clear answer but is copied from the text.	Excellent The response is clear, concise and correct. It is written in the students own words by either paraphrasing, elaborating, or providing an example.
Application	Poor The response is incomplete or incorrect in its depiction.	Fair The response is complete but confusing and does little to convey a clear idea.	Good The response allows the reader to interpret its meaning and connects a graphic to the idea being represented.	Excellent The response makes the idea immediately accessible and memorable over time.
Analysis	Poor The analysis is inaccurate and flawed in its logic	Fair The analysis is correct, but weak and lacks relevance	Good The analysis is correct and valid	Excellent The analysis is correct, relevant and the student draws accurate conclusions
Evaluation	Poor There is no coherent argument or the elements of the argument are incorrect	Fair The justification is logical but the presentation is confusing and the supporting reasons are minimal or unclear	Good The justification is logical and has at least two reasons to support it	Excellent The justification follows logical thinking, is concise in it's presentation and covers a variety of reasons
