Paragraph Students were to answer 4 specific questions and write one paragraph or more about animal and its habitat.	Needs Work Written in question form. Does not answer questions clearly.	Good Written facts. Answered some questions, but not all. Has infomation unnecessary to project goals.	Excellent Written neatly and answered most questions.	Perfect Indented pragraph. Included answers to all questions and more interesting facts to share.
Research Students were to find information about their animal and its habitat.	Needs Work Did not find any facts. Made up information.	Good Did not look for facts, but used prior knowledge about animal and habitat.	Excellent Looked for information from reliable sources and used it in paragraph.	Perfect Used various sources of information and incorporated it into diorama and written paragraph.
Presentation Students were advised to use eye contact, stand still, and read clearly without help from teacher, and explain their diorama process clearly.	Needs Work Did not read on their own.	Good Read some on their own, but did not clearly understand what they were reading, evident when asked questions.	Excellent Read clearly, made good eye contact, stood still and explained diorama process.	Perfect Read clearly, made eye contact, stood still, explained diorama process and added extra prompts to further explain information.
