Technical skills	Poor Although remembers some of warm-up, little attention paid to how movements are done or other details of choreography.	Fair Only some understanding of technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in performance.	Good Dance performed with attention to most details of technique, but hasn't attained proficiency in dance style yet.	Excellent Dance performed with great attention to quality of movement, body position, placement and other details of exercise. Also demonstrates an excellent understanding of dance style.
Focus/Effort	Poor The dancer is not very focused, concentrated or committed to exercise.	Fair The dancer is generally focused, but only some attempt made to perform with energy and strength.	Good The dancer performs with a good amount of energy and effort.	Excellent The dancer performs exercise with a great deal of energy and effort.
Rhythm/Tempo	Poor Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.	Fair Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Good Generally accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of exercise sequence most of the time.	Excellent Shows a complete understanding of tempo and beat and stays on rhythmn throughout the exercise.
