Exemplary
Animal cell section has all required information, including identifying and explaining the function and structure of organelles: cell wall, cell membrane, nucleus, nuclear envelope, cytoplasm, vacuole, centrosomes, lysosomes mitochondria, and ribosomes.
Competent
Has the majority of the cell information but is missing or has incorrect information for 2 organelles.
Needs Improvement
Has the some of the cell information but is missing or has incorrect information for 3 organelles.
Below
Has little cell information, is missing or has incorrect information on 4 or more organelles.
Plant Cell Information
Exemplary
Plant cell section has all required information, including identifying and explaining the function and structure of organelles: cell wall, cell membrane, nucleus, nuclear envelope, cytoplasm, chloroplast, vacuole, mitochondria, and ribosomes.
Competent
Has the majority of the cell information but is missing or has incorrect information for 2 organelles.
Needs Improvement
Has the some of the cell information but is missing or has incorrect information for 3 organelles.
Below
Has little cell information, is missing or has incorrect information on 4 or more organelles.
Specialized Cell Information
Exemplary
Specialized cell section has all required information, including identifying and explaining the functions, structures of the organelles. Also include cell location(s), importance, real picture, labeled diagram, and what would happen the the organism if it were absent.
Competent
Has the majority of the cell information but is missing or has incorrect information for 2 organelles.
Needs Improvement
Has the some of the cell information but is missing or has incorrect information for 3 organelles.
Below
Has little cell information, is missing or has incorrect information on 4 or more organelles.

Presentation
Exemplary
The student spoke clearly and presented their information with complete understanding of animal, plant, and their specialized cells. It is evident that the student had prepared what they will say.
Competent
The student spoke clearly and presented a good amount of the information about their animal, plant, and specialized cells as expected.
Needs Improvement
There are several confusing moments during the presentation and the information presented was not completely relayed during the presentation. The student had not practiced preparing their presentation.
Below
The student was unprepared. No preparation was done for the presentation and the information that was presented lacked many elements of what was expected.
