Presentation shows students do not have a grasp of the information; students cannot answer questions about subject.

Student's are uncomfortable with information and able to answer only rudimentary questions.
Good

Student's are at ease with answering questions, but fails to elaborate.
Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with explanations and elaboration.
Mechanics

Requirements: Candidate's slogan, Birthdate, Place of Birth, Education, Political Party, Job, An interesting fact about the candidate.

Poor

Presentation has 4 or more spelling errors and does not include any of the requirements.
Fair

Presentation has three misspellings and includes two to four of the requirements.
Good

Presentation has one to two misspellings and includes five to six of the requirements.
Excellent

Presentation has no misspellings and includes the requirements.
Eye Contact

Poor

Student reads all of report with no eye contact.
Fair

Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report.
Good

Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes.
Excellent

Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.
Elocution

Poor

Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.
Fair

Student's voice is low. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.
Good

Student's voice is clear. Most audience members can hear presentation.
Excellent

Student uses a clear voice so that all audience members can hear presentation.
Group

Poor

Group did not work together to create their research paper.
Fair

Group worked together minimally to create their research paper.
Good

Group worked well together to create their research paper.
Excellent

Group worked very well together to create their research paper.
