Class Participation Grade Class Participation Grade All students are expected to participate in class. I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class. Texting, side conversations, and other distracting and discourteous behaviors are not to be engaged in during class time. Poor POOR Student is almost always unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR	Excellent EXCELLENT Student often asks questions, participates in pair/group discussions.	Good GOOD Student sometimes asks questions, and participates in pair/group discussions.	Fair FAIR Student rarely participates in class, struggles with pair/group discussions.
